1st Annual Conservation Cup

On September 29th, you’ll have an opportunity to play one of the top-25 public golf courses in the country and help a child’s relationship with nature blossom for the first time.

Please join us for the first annual “Conservation Cup,” an 18-hole golf tournament to begin at 2 PM at George W. Dunne National Golf Course in Oak Forest, IL (registration starts at Noon).  The site has been rated by Golf Digest as one of the premiere public courses in the country.   Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and golf legend Billy Casper will be there to kick off the event and attend the dinner that follows.  Proceeds will benefit Cook County’s Forest Preserve Foundation, a 501,c-3 charity dedicated to improving our forest preserves and making them available to more children in the region.

Your contribution to this event will help support our initiative to introduce 2,000 disadvantaged children to the natural wonders of the Cook County Forest Preserves.  Thousands of local kids have never had an opportunity to savor our environment in ways that many of us consider second nature – from fishing in a scenic pond, to hiking through the woods, to catching their first mystical sight of a deer.
