2012 picnic permits will go on sale, January 3, 2012, at 8AM, by internet and in person at the Forest Preserve District of Cook County Headquarter, 536 N. Harlem Avenue, River Forest, IL 60305. Permits will be available for sale throughout the year, Monday – Friday, 9AM – 4PM, in person and 24 hours a day by internet. Please call 800-870-3666 for further information.
The picnic groves at the Forest Preserve District of Cook County are the perfect place to picnic. Summer is the time to gather family and friends and head outdoors for a picnic. Every effort has been made by Forest Preserve personnel to ensure that your picnicking experience is pleasant and enjoyable.
Picnic groves are available throughout Cook County, providing a variety of amenities set with the scenic backdrop of the Forest Preserves.

Picnic Permits
A Picnic Permit must be obtained by groups of 25 or more. Only two (2) picnic permits per person or organization are allowed per year.
