Celebrating Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month & “Inspired by Nature”!

Date & Time:

Wed, Oct 13 • 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Description:

The Forest Preserves of Cook County invites you to listen in on an “Inspired by Nature” conversation between two amazing people who care deeply about nature and their local communities.

To celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month, our conversationalists are Christina Rivero, who works in Government Affairs for the Office of Cook County Board President, and Maritza Rocha, who is the Director of Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center for the Forest Preserves of Cook County.

Join us as Christina and Maritza ask each other questions about the different ways they see nature, such as “What plant connects you to your culture?”.

A zoom link will be sent out to registrants an hour before the event. If you can’t make the live event, a recording will be shared with all registrants. Closed captioning available.
