Description:

Celebrate a new Sand Ridge Campus! Come out for tours of the re-imagined nature center, guided walks of new trail connections, animal encounters, to-go artmaking projects and more. The day starts at Sand Ridge Nature Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 am, and visitors are encouraged to see all the campus offers, including Camp Shabbona Woods, Green Lake Family Aquatic Center, as well as a fishing lake and a paved trail spur connecting to the Burnham Greenway Trail. Thanks the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for support for this nature-based education and recreation campus.

All visitors over 2 years of age must wear a mask indoors at all times. Unvaccinated visitors should also wear a mask outdoors when physical distancing (six feet from other people) is not possible.
