Description:

Led by Illinois Extension Master Naturalist Len Piersialla, this informative hike will take participants on a historic look at the Forest Preserve’s contribution to the Manhattan Project and nuclear energy. We will take a 2- to 3-mile hike to two sites and learn about the historic significance of the area. Along the way, we will see geologic evidence of glaciation in Cook County and look for spring ephemerals.

All participants are required to wear masks and practice physical distancing.
