Memorial Day Weekend

  • DIY: Make Your Own Junior Archery Set: Make a fun-and-safe archery set for kids to set up in your backyard or local outdoor space. Most items to make this may be found in the home. Thursday, May 21 @ 1 pm on the Trailside Museum of Natural History Facebook page.
  • Live: Making the Perfect Campfire & S’more: Enjoy a virtual cookout and prepare for when camping reopens by learning how to make a perfect fire for s’mores. Friday, May 22 @ 4 pm on the Forest Preserves Campgrounds Facebook page.
  • Live: Frog Frenzy: What will we find? A tadpole, adult bullfrog or a surprise? Join us to see life from beneath the surface of the pond! Saturday, May 23 @ 10 am on the Sand Ridge Nature Center Facebook page.
