With access to the Tinley Creek Trail System, Camp Sullivan is a perfect destination for nature exploration. Even the barn, with a climbing wall and other adventures, is a hub of activity.

Full Campground Rental

• Availability: Sunday through Thursday year-round, limited dates are available for Friday and Saturday.
• Features: Exclusive use of all campsites, public buildings and activity areas.

Climbing Wall & Activity Barn

This 28-foot wall inside Camp Sullivan’s iconic red barn comes complete with an auto-belay system and certified facilitators. Individuals under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian fill out a waiver for participation. Please bring a signed waiver with you: 

Registered Camp Sullivan campers can reserve one free hour of climbing at check-in, pending availability (please call 312-636-0041 to check hours and availability, especially from October to April). Additional time: $5/hr pending availability. 

Camp Sullivan offers event packages that include exclusive use of the climbing wall and barn’s upper level, pending availability.

If you plan to climb, please bring a signed waiver with you:

Barn Upper Level Rental (No Climbing)

• Capacity: 109 people
• Features: Reservations include tables, chairs,  and use of the kitchen. Does NOT include use of the climbing wall.

Events & Programs

Every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Forest Preserves staff lead free programs open to all registered campers, including:

• Friday and Saturday night campfires
• Special Friday and Saturday evening programs
• Saturday afternoon activities and hikes
• Camping skill demonstrations

Each campground has a limited number of Camping Adventure Backpacks available for free check-out, that include binoculars, field guides, a compass, activity sheets and other aids to nature exploration.
