Overview
The Green Teacher Network is a collaborative effort among the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Openlands, the Chicago Botanic Garden and the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance. Over the years, it has supported teachers in creating school gardens and utilizing green spaces as multidisciplinary teaching tools, enriching curricula for students of all ages. Members of the network benefit from informative teacher-training sessions and special events that promote the use of plant-based learning in Chicago-area schools.
