Nature Notes
Birdwatchers can spot migrating birds such as the winter wren, vireos, gnatcatchers, phoebes and tanagers along Tinley Creek. Belted kingfishers have built nests in spring and early summer along the creek banks. Broad-winged hawks and red-headed woodpeckers also spend time here.
