“The Passenger Pigeon’s Flight to Extinction” Film Screening

Join naturalist and author Joel Greenberg to view and discuss this film as we struggle to maintain the biodiversity and other conditions necessary for human well-being. The passenger pigeon was the continent’s most abundant bird, with a population in the billions. But the last of the species, a resident of the Cincinnati Zoo named Martha, died on September 1, 1914.
