Cross-Country Skiing: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Day
![a person cross-country skiing at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center](https://fpdcc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/sagawau-cross-country-skiing-feb13.jpg)
Join us for a winter day adventure with the Forest Preserves, in partnership with the Chicago Hearing Society, at Sagawau Environmental Learning Center. If there is adequate snow, we will head out on cross-country skis (bring your own or borrow some from Sagawau) and explore the trails in this winter wonderland. Ski lessons are available for ages 12 & up.
If the trails are closed for skiing due to no snow, we will engage with a naturalist-led guided experience outside or inside. American Sign Language interpreters will be provided. Please get in touch with us for additional accessibility requests. Cross-country skiing programs are free for deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing individuals and their families. All ages. Dress for being outside.
