Join a volunteer activity, take a guided walk or learn about careers in tree care and conservation!

Schedule of Activities:

• 10 am: Volunteer with Tree TLC – help mulch trees in the picnic grove
• 10:15 am: Tree Walk – learn about different kinds of trees and how to tell them apart
• 11 am: Pruning Demonstration – watch and listen as we share tips for proper pruning
• 12 pm: Volunteer with Ecological Stewardship – help protect young oaks with fencing

Ongoing 10 am to 1 pm:

• Meet a Champion Tree – one of the largest of its kind in the Forest Preserves!
• Info Fair – chat with local partners about jobs in tree care & conservation, volunteering, and exploring nature.
• Free Tree Saplings – take home a free tree from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District! (while supplies last)
